Really need some advice, I'm at my wits' end dealing with micro bubbles and particles in my tank, despite having a pretty solid setup. I've got a Red Sea 600 skimmer, a Red Sea 500 roller mat, and a 39-watt UV sterilizer. Still, the water looks like it's full of particles and microbubbles.

I've tried a bunch of tweaks – moving the UV output, adjusting the return pump, you name it. My tank is a Red Sea 425 XL, with a 5000l/hr return pump. For wave action, I'm using two wave makers (10,000 ltr/hr and 5000 ltr/hr) placed at the top. My maintenance routine includes large water changes monthly. I even used Blizzard to clear it up, but it's not a long-term solution, especially considering all the mechanical filtration I've invested in.

I'm stumped. What else can I add or adjust to get that crystal-clear water? Any tips or tricks would be massively appreciated!

could it be that the wavemakers are blowing at the rocks which are full of algae ..etc?

Thanks a bunch!

Is your skimmer ejecting bubbles in the sump? Do you have a bubble trap anywhere between the skimmer and the return pump - or anywhere in the sump for that matter?
