In 2 years it's only moved off the disc and on to the rock

For 15 years I had a lot of success with Ricordea Florida, but for some reason Yumas never flourished.
After years of trying, I tried to put my Yuma a bit higher up, in a slightly shaded area (it's an SPS dominated tank, so very high PAR otherwise) with more flow, and it finally started to grow and split after a few months.
So, you might want to try another location and see if it helps.
