Stuck needle wheel?

So, the pump on my eshopps skimmer decided to stop working. It's a sicce pump, the needle wheel is frozen stuck, it won't even budge. I've tried soaking it in vinegar/water overnight to help rid of the build-up, but it didn't seem to help. Has anyone ran into this problem?

the shaft may have expanded. happened to my hydor koralia.

Yeah! What a design flaw that was for Koralia. Had four 1400's when they first came out and watched as each one died. The last one was similar to your problem....... swelled in the pump and couldn't get that magnet out. Here's one of the first magnets that went south...and you can see how the laminated magnets swell and split. POC.
