Stupid question about kessil controller x

Do u put kessil on timer or does the kessil x Have A timer in it when u set up program to ramp up and down during the 12 hour cycle
I’m new to this I’ve always used timers on lights
I’m old school

The ramp up and down in the controller is also doing your light cycle timing. You don't need another timer as well.
