Care for the stylophora is easy. Maintain good water quality, weekly water changes, keep the alk and cal in check, provide good to moderate flow and light placement about midway or so and they thrive relatively easy

I see this is an old thread but I was too excited not to play along. Just picked up this rainbow stylo today. It was in the tank a matter of seconds when the polyps starting coming out. They didn't even wait for me to finish positioning it just right. My new favorite piece in the tank.

I am a big fan of stylos. Here are some pics.

Typically, the pink and purple varieties do well for me in the upper, middle or lower part of the tank. I do have halides but they are adaptable to different types of lighting and most grow relatively fast, although there are some varieties that grow slow for me such as the pink beauty below. The electric green version also does well under many different types of lights but it seems to color up the most for me when exposed to less light in the lower part of the tank.

I've never seen a yellow stylo before, I'd love to have a piece of one. The pinks are slow growers for me as well.
