I have cotton candy stylophora which is recently losing polyps from the base. It happened after i switched my lights from coralife 150 watts 14K to Phoenix 150 watts 14K. But it might not be the case. I will post up the pic. I do my 25% water change every week with instant ocean crystal reef. Any suggestion will be helpful.

Stylophora is on the left. Pics r from wide angle to closeup shots.

The receeding area is at the bottom branch which is white.

Could flow be an issue? more intense light would seem to effect the tips rather than the base IME or possibly some parameters outta whack

I have noticed that stylos as they get bigger do kinda bleach out around the base. They get little flow and very little light in that area.

I have a big colony of the ORA green stylo...Top if Full and healthy, buttom looks brown and white..IMO its from lack of light around the base

I think it is lack of light. I have a Sour Apples Seriatopora and it does the same thing. Grows nice and colored, bushy up top but the base turns white, were little light gets in.

Thanks for all the input. Really appreciate it. I will keep you guys updated if the receeding grows any further.
