I literally just set it up today with my old tank water and thinking of if it’s a good idea to add some biomedia balls from my mature tanks to cycle it.
My plan and intention:
run the tank at about 1.020 and host new fish. Once the new fish settles down in a couple of weeks or so, slowly lower it to 1.010 to get rid of some parasites via hyposalinity.
My question is, is it good idea to add those media balls to cycle the tank and when it goes to 1.010 won’t kill off or ruin the tank cycle right?
