Suggestions for removing scratches acrylic

Good Afternoon Fellow Reefers!
I have a 160 gallon acrylic tank, my future reef, I purchased from a medical office that was clising down. It came with sump, stand, UV sterilizer and one wave pump. It was very well maintained but has some significant scratches on the inside. I'd love for it to be a peninsula tank but have to do something to buff out those scratches. Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to accomplish this? Products to use? How to buff it out? I'm really excited about getting the build started soon. Any and all suggestions are welcomed! Though I've never owned a acrylic tank, let's see if we can get more eyes on this and get some responses.

There are several vid's on YouTube showing how to do this.. It's not very hard.. Kind of like polishing a car..

I just went through this with by 110G tank. I did both inside and out, as it had lots of scratches all over. For full instruction and pics, take a look at my build thread. There is way too much info to copy over.

In short, lots of sanding with palm sander/orbital sander, lots of different grits, and then finish off with polishing/buffing using Novus 3,2 and 1 with dual action polisher.

Give your self lots of time and go slow. It is easy to do, but it takes time and elbow grease.

I used the Novus 3,2,1 and a palm sander. worked well. Lots of work.
