Can’t believe my aluminum lid chipped off a shard of glass on my new Reefer 250. Wasn’t even that hard of a hit. Would love some tips or suggestions on how to fix it so I don’t cut myself down the road. Right now just have tape over it. Thanks!

You can't fix it without replacing the glass panel that's chipped.

I can't really tell from the picture how big or small the chip is.

As another said you could sand it to mend it but sharp but I don't think you'll be able to fill it with anything that would make a structural difference.

The chip is small, but long. It’s about 3mm at its widest and it’s literally the edge sharding off. I want to explore cosmetic fixes. Would siliconing over area or using windshield repair make it less noticeable? Anyone tried?

Yes it is the front left corner. I mean it’s not super super noticeable. I wonder if clear silicone will make it stand out more. Probably I’d guess.

I think silicone would make a big mess. I think nothing would be way better than silicone.

When a tank gets a chip or small scratch it will drive you insane because you know it’s there but eventually you do get over it.

It is hard to keep a tank absolutely perfect forever.

Your tank will be so beautiful inside that no one will ever see the chip! :)
