First summer of having a saltwater tank, after getting it going in the winter. Living in Southern Ontario, things can get pretty hot - though our AC isn't always on to save on costs.

When the AC is off though, my tank can sometimes hit 28 Celsius (I keep it between 25-25.3 usually).

So, how much stress does this rapid increase (over a few days, increasing by around 3-4 degrees Celsius).

No worries? Or panic time?

My nano tank went up to 90 degrees for 2 days due to faulty heater. I lost 90% of my LPS. Softies survived but ticked for days. Bubble tip anemone bleached out.

28c is generally fine. Mine also runs warmer in the summer - what I do each spring is slowly acclimate the tank to warmer temps. In the winter it runs around 76-78f and 81ish in the summer. This is just because my wife and I are cheap and don't want huge electric or gas bills lol. Usually in late March I begin bumping the temp up half a degree at a time. 29c is probably as hot as you'd want to go.
