Hello all.
Currently building a 20 gallon high sump for a 65 gallon DT. I have no interest in a refugium so I plan on using a simple 2 chamber design. I plan on using a Bubble Magus curve 5 or a Reef Oct 150 space saver for skimmer options. My questions at this time would be if anyone has any input or how my baffle setup should be for only a 2 chamber design. Second is the Bubble Magus skimmer seems to have a difference of opinions on how deep my water level should be. Most web sites say 11.5-12 inches and then I have seen people say that's way too high and to run it about 7 inches. Anyone with this skimmer have any input.
Thanks for the help all.
Darren

Have the drain and skimmer as one section then your 2 baffles as a bubble trap to keep bubbles from the return pump. Then you will have your return pump section.

Any advice on how large the return area should be? Hight should be more determined by the skimmer choice + a few inches correct? Then use a stand to raise skimmer? should bubble trap be over/under or under /over?
