I'm looking on Facebook Marketplace for a tank, and I saw this one thats a good deal that comes with this sump. Its the pump as well. I'd need filter socks but is the baffles the place where the ceramic rings are? This, plus a 20 gallon, stand, and two lights is 250. On top of that would I need anything else besides heaters and skimmer?

I agree.....hard to tell size but that looks small. If I had to guess, the whole sump, pump included, can be reproduced with new equipment for close to 50 bucks. Twenty gallon tanks and stands are pretty cheap also.

I don't know what kind of tank and lights that includes, but $250 sounds steep.
20 Gallon square frag tank, with a t5 setup and Chinese led. there's no other tanks on the market near me, besides either way to small or way to large, I want to try fragging anemones or breeding clown and I don't have a big budget

See if you can get him down to $200. Explain that the T5 lights will need to be replaced soon as they will no longer be available to buy. You are going to need a heater for sure. Skimmer is a preference thing and if you want one, you will have to buy it.

Looks like a decent setup overall. And Yes, the baffles are the glass panels in the sump that divide the chambers.

If that is a marineland tank like it appears to be, there are a ton of reviews on their website showing the seams coming apart and leaking. If you are comfortable taking that chance on used equipment then I’d say it’s not a terrible deal. But if it were me I would prefer new so I have some sort of warranty!
