I have purchased a new tank off a friend who’s gone travelling and not contactable atm.

I’m moving from canister to sump and want some advice on the sump & best way to set it up.

The below is a picture of the sump, I have some bio blocks & large piece of rock that came with it and looking to get everything set up over the bank holiday. I think the sump is 90/100 litres?

Looking at ordering a bubble Magnus curve 5 protein skimmer as he never ran one and used filter floss instead of socks, so need to order them also.

That looks like a nice sump! My comment is that I also prefer filter floss vs. socks, pulling and laundering socks all the time is just not for me. I use Poly-Fil, which I find at local craft stores, used for stuffing pillows and the like. It's the same as aquarium filter floss, but even cheaper. I simply pull it and replace it every few days to a week, it's easy and cheap.

Poly-Fil

Good luck!

Thanks. I have a big roll of floss so probably start there and see how I get on :)
