I’m interested in cutting my sump lid to fit around my skimmer in an attempt to reduce open area over the sump.

I think I’ve seen royal exclusiv sumps that have minimal open area over the sump. Would like to reduce spray, salt creep and possibly some evaporation due to reducing the open area.

Including some pictures of my sump. Any ideas about how to best cut the lid and any examples if you’ve done this to your sump are greatly appreciated!

Hi, looks like a lot of other pipes etc that would need to be cut around also ?
router ,large hole saw, multitool, high speed jigsaw would be my choice to cut semi circle.
