If you had to choose between a cube style sump or a regular rectangle sump both 20 gallons what would you choose?

I have a acrylic cube sump and then a diy 20 long

I like the cube sump as it will allow more room under the stand and it fits my skimmer but I was curious if it has any disadvantages compared to a rectangle style sump?

I would guess that depends on the lay out of the sumps, DT size and bio load. When I run a sump I like as much volume as I can safely run but I also like to keep it simple

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
