Currently I am not sure what 2 part I am using. I threw away the bottles and am now regretting it. I am about to run out and bought some Red Sea foundation a/b. I am a bit nervouse to switch it over because the dosing concentration is probably different. I currently use 36ml to keep my alk at 8.1.

Are most 2 part concentrations the same?

My plan is to switch it and then monitor my alk/calc levels closely, adjusting as needed.

I could also shut my dosers off for 24hrs to see what my consumption is but that makes me nervous too.

I would back it off initially because Red Sea tends to be the most concentrated of the two part systems out there meaning you will use a lot less for the same amount of units of dosed product. All products are far from the same in concentration.

Ok, ill back it off 50% and monitor closely and adjust as needed. Does that sound unreasonable?

Sounds like a start. But watch it as you may need to back off even more. I find 5ml of Red Sea Alk compare to about 17 ml of B-ionic and about 35ml of BRS. And the calcium on Red Sea Is NOT dosed 1 for 1 like other two part systems. It is less on the calcium.

Start small and increase gradually until you have reached desired targets
