Switching Dosing solutions

New to the forums at R2R but been a lurker.

Is there a calculator or reference to ballpark required dosing in ml when switching dosing solutions?

I currently use ATI essentials pro and has worked well for me, but I want to switch over to All for reef.

I currently dose 36ml of diluted ATI essentials pro using KH as proxy. Dilution done as per ATO instructions.
I have mixed the All for Reef as per instructions from their powder.

I want to come as close as possible to my current Alk dosing so then I am making minor adjustments post testing instead of having to come short or too high.

The reason for switching is just to free up one dosing head.

The tank is 20g Nuvo AIO from IM (I usually assume 13g of water). SPS dominated.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

It looks like your plan should work. Just follow the directions of All For Reef and then continue testing to adjust the dosages to meet your needs. To be safe it might be advised to dose slightly less than recommended regarding All For Reef in case it throws off your levels.

I'm dosing 10 mls a day of All for Reef in my 30 gallon mixed reef. Probably 20 gallons+/- with sump minus rock FWIW. Alkalinity will take a few days to show up in your tests, as the calcium formate is processed through bacteria. Monitor alkalinity until you arrive at your sweet spot, and that's your dose.

I was just worried because if I calculate it right 36ml of essential pro is adding 2dKH of alk v/s if I dose max dose of AFT I’ll get 0.28dKH.

I am sure something may be wrong in my calc.

Also I think my alk usage may be higher due to DIY NoPox and KZ supplement which I have seen to immediately reduce my ph which also means it’s using up alk

I’ll probably play it save, start with recommend dose, test and go from there.

Probably will do a water change and adjust parameters to baseline my target.
