I've been dosing NOPOX for a couple of years now but recently some cyano growth has started and is getting worse. Because of this, I'm going to try switching to vinegar. Before I make the switch, should I treat the tank with Chemiclean to get rid of the cyano?

No, not that I'm aware of. Vinegar dosing would bring them right back up anyways.

That seems like an OK plan.

The cyano you have now may be able to thrive on vinegar since it is a component of NOPOX, so getting rid of it manually or by an antibiotic (e.g., chemiclean, etc.) is a decent idea. I'd remove as much as possible before adding the treatment to reduce chance of excessive toxin release from dead cyano.
