Hi,
Where switching from a 20 gallon high to a 30, how exactly do you switch tanks, my 20 gallon tank is established now. I have a zoa and hammer coral. So, how exactly do you switch it like the process. Inverts are skunk shrimp, and emerald crab. Macro algea, and coral. Also, about the substrate I was told to not use the same substrate from the previous tank, so we switched to saltwater gravel instead of sand. Do you have to rinse the gravel like you do with the sand, or not?

1. fill up the new tank with new rinsed sand or gavel
2. fill with old tank water and new saltwater so the process goes faster and the new and old tank parameters match
3. Make sure the new tank is heated properly
4. Fill new tank with your rocks
5. Transfer all fish and inverts

What should I rinse it with a hose, or something else?
