Anyone have sympodium in their tanks? Any advice on how fast it grows, hardiness, etc.?

It has that "will spread like crazy if you're not careful" look about it, like xenia and blue polyps. I love the look but not enough to begin a battle to keep it under control.

I do have it on a single rock. Not as fast growing or hardy or invasive as xenias but it is in the same family so watch it carefully.

Family: Xeniidae
Genus: Sympodium

I've heard of them taking over but the stuff I have is while not slow growing is much slower than Anthelia or xenia.

Unless you keep it isolated it will slowly spread all over tank. Similar to Xenia or green star polyps etc.

Xenia has a way of popping up in places randomly, sympodium doesn't seem to.
