T5 canopy design

Im building a canopy for 48" T-5's (let retrofit). If I can avoid it I'd really like to not take them out of the boxes to dry fit, for several reasons. I tried looking online but couldnt find anything is the outside edge of the mounting brackets 47 3/4"?

Long as you have 48" overall to mount everything they will work. IIRC 4ft bulbs themselves measure +- 46" plus the waterproof tombstones add about 1"each.

I did a diy similar to the LET kit, I'm happy overall.
