Is T5 lighting enough light for LPS corals in a 180 galllon aquarium?

Yes, If done right. Make sure you look into parabolic reflectors and overdriving the lamps.

Make sure you buy quality bulbs as well. I use to have T5's over my LPS/zoa system and it worked great.

Yeah forgot about that...lol. personally I prefer ATI lamps for color, but I will say UVL brand lamps overdrive better and keep their color when overdriven.

I mainly used ATI and if they were out of stock I used Giesemann.

Acans even seem to color up better under T5s than halides or (most) LEDs.

I have my acans under LEDs right now but they don't seem to be full and color up like they do we I put them under T5s in my frag tank. Most the other corals do great under my LED's. Any ideas how to mix LED's and T5s together and keep my acans in display tank? Also what does it mean to overdrive the T5s. Thanks

Most of my rainbow acans bleach out or go to orange under LED's.
