t5 or led

Looking to get a new fixture for my tank i currently have a 4x39w t5 fixture on it but iam looking for more power for around $400 i was either looking at a evolution 1g or this tek fixtureb SL-960155 Premium Aquatics - SL-960155 Aquarium Supplies
what do you guys think i should go with tank is a deep blue 57 gallon edge 36 x 18 x 20

The biggest plus with T5 is the variety of bulbs that you can mix and match with. You can quickly move from a 20k to a 14k with just a few bulb changes. However, LEDs have a much longer life span, and wouldn't require the typical 1 year replacement.

ok going to go with the evolution then. does the 14k have a little blue in it. iam currently running a aqaublue special 2 blue plus and a fiji purple and i love the color of my tank wanna keep it closest to that as possible

I don't think that'll be as blue as you're looking for.

You may want to check out the Reef Filtration fixtures, Luke's got a couple different models and I believe one is more of a 20k look.

led would be a better investment if you choose a led that could be changed easily. meaning if you get a fixture that you can't change a burn out bulb without taking it apart for one bulb or you can't change a optic. my opinion i would go DIY with dimmable drivers with one driver controlling the blues and one doing the whites. that way you can have a full light range. plus if a led does burn out if wired correctly that one buld won't take out the whole fixture(like the old christmas lights). just my opinion, good luck
