Tampa Bay Reef Club March 6th Frag Swap

Members, Sponsors, and other Florida Clubs,

The TBRC is holding their 1st frag event on Saturday March 6th. The event will be held at the Carpenter's Run Club House at 1735
Carpenters Run Blvd Lutz, Florida 33559 from 9:00-5:00 pm. We have the
clubhouse until late in the evening so if you need to come out later than
5:00 to see if we are still there, it would be best to call a board
member. We are hoping to have a good turnout of vendors of all kinds
(reef related of course) and as many frag booths as possible. So, if you
have frags to sell, wait until then and come on out! The cost for a table
for a club member is $25 and for a sponsor it is $50. It is first come
first served and since tables are limited, don’t wait, sign up now. Use
the paypal Donate button on Tampabayreefclub.org for payment of a table or
for admission. http://www.tampabayreefclub.org/paypal.html

If you are renting a table please let us know if you are bringing a tank with you. If you are, make sure you bring whatever extension cords
needed for your setup. We have plenty of outlets available and we will
have tape to lay over the cords.

The cost for admission for TBRC members: FREE
The cost for other club's members $3
The cost for no affiliation $5
The cost for kids 12 and under FREE

We will have Butch Ringelspaugh, the curator at the Pier Aquarium there and we are still trying to get James Fartheree to mingle and talk with all of
us. For a small fee there will be a lunch to make sure we all don't
go hungry so come with a big appetite for food as well as frags! We will
have free coffee and doughnuts for breakfast!

We will have a raffle too! Make sure you buy lots of tickets.

Here’s a sample of some of the frags that will be there:

You know I'll be there. Beautiful corals, beautiful ladies, and good food.

I have seen alot more than those photos that will be up for sale. Alot of nice stuff. I think I have about 4 square inches of space in my 180 to put a few more pieces.

Sweet! It sounds like we will have a great turnout and some great corals. I can't wait:)

im not from tampa but will be there. at one of my local swaps there was a guy with a cooler carrying about 10-15 corals he was trying to trade with people. Wasn't worth getting a table for him because he didn't have that many frags so I guess it would depend on how many frags you've got.

If you are going to be selling you will need to have a table. You can contact the club officers directly through the website at www.tampabayreefclub.org for more info. I'm not an officer, just a member who will be selling. It should be a good turnout.

But what about "swapping" does that actually exist or not... why is it called a frag swap

I don't know why they phrased it that way. I know there are going to be people selling and people trading corals. Either way I think there will be some nice pieces to be picked up.

We have a similar thing for our local club, but its an auction. we are not allowed to call it an auction so we call it a frag "event" something about not having a license to sell corals.
