Picked him up for $40 from lfs. They had him marked as a white cheek tang I thought it was a spotted cheek tang.

Definitely appears to be a spotted cheek. I believe the white cheek has a solid white area on the cheek. Beautiful fish.

Yes it is a beautil fish. I had to get it at that price.

Certainly appears to be A. maculiceps. Definitely not A. nigricans. What size tank do you have, as they do get quite large.

Awesome fish at a great price...but like Marshall said, they get big!
