Tang in a 60 gallon cube?

I was wondering if there is a tang that would do ok in a 60 gallon cube? I don't absolutely have to have one, but I would really like one. I looked back at an older thread on this topic and people suggested a mimic or a tomini. Any other suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Short answer I think is no to a 60g cube. I havent been doing this for too long, but everything I see says 90-120g minimum. If I'm not wrong, they swim naturally very long distances so a cube might limit that.

Alot of opinions on this topic. Some will tell you no and some will say yes. But most will no for a 24" Tank. I have a 60G cube and I had a small yellow tang but got rid of him after a couple months becasue he was getting to big. I bought him at a very small size which was find at the time I had him. I would say if you do get a Tang get a tiny one and let him grow until you feel he needs a new home. I sometimes just save tang fatten them up and send them on there way to a new home and make sure they go into something bigger than a 4 foot tank. You can get by with a tang on a 4 foot tank but even then not enough real estate for them to swim since they are open water swimmers. but I have seen folks put 3 Tangs in a 55G whihc I think would be way to much for a tank that size.
