Got this brittle tooth tang couple weeks ago, and it’s been in quarantine with 2.25ppm copper for about two weeks. Recently, it has developed this white patch, and it’s getting worse. Can anyone help identify it? Also, any treatment needed?

Does look to be bacterial and may stem from water quality itself . While I dont like mixing meds, you can add seachem kanaplex which should address this. How do any other fish look in the tank?

Does it look similar to this? Does it twitch mid swim? Does it flash? If so, could be parasitic, try prazipro. It fixed mine

No twitch or flash. At least I didn’t observe that. It’s hiding most of the time, but eats fine

Looking at last pic, looks to be a light injury which should heal on its own. Keep an eye on area for sores or redness which would then require treatment such as Seachem Kanaplex

Just ordered Seachem Kanaplex. If it gets worse I will start the treatment.

Do you recommend just do the treatment in the same quarantine tank with copper?
