I am going to an Island soom, Mustique and your Queen has a plot of land with I imagine a nice condo on it. :)

Long Island where I live was a big "whaling" community so you could say, I am a little bit British. Just a very little. Different kind of wale but work with me here.

Yeah was meaning " it says you from Wales " meaning here on r2r
But that me presuming and thought and know what thought did ha ha.but like mine saying from Liverpool but I only live here and not from here ^_^
My step dad was Welsh from the valleys and spoke little Welsh but not much tbh

And Paul when queen's husband was alive he owned " grosvenor building services" and once was England's biggest landlord or so I got told when worked on the hilton Hotel in Liverpool when getting built ( but someone could of been telling fibs lol) so guess he had lots places could live but the royals lots of fancy palaces and such where do already live or stay at when suits them I guess.
And them Irish guards with th huge bearskin helmets must have strong necks as bet they weigh a ton lol

Hmmm thanks, must change that or leave it to show where I am rather than where I'm from
I guess it's more important to say where you are than where you are actually from.

It doesn't matter much here because Americans are all confused by that stuff anyway. :D

I have noticed Paul, seems Americans are also confused by their president as we are about our prime minister. Neither seem very popular at the moment.
The royal family carry on many believe an outdated monarchy with lots of controversy and should be abolished. Many thousands of Americans visit the UK and London in particular each year, maybe they wouldn't if we had no monarchy. Unfortunately few venture much further in a country that has much to offer the tourist.
Bit like Brits going to Disney Florida and never going anywhere else. I was once in the post office behind 2 ladies, one turned to the other and asked if she was going to Ameruca again this years. The lady replied no as she had seen it all lol. She meant Disney and perhaps some of Florida. She probably hasn't seen more of Florida at all bever mind the USA. Some her with American tourists.

I agree. Most people think New York is "Manhattan". Manhattan is a very small Island in New York City and only one small part of New York City.

New York State is kind of big and most of it is drop dead gorgeous filled with mountains, lakes and rivers.

Disney is also a tiny place in a desolate place in Florida which was a swamp before Disney bought it. Some parts of florida are fantastic. I like the Florida Keys and have friends living there. I personally wouldn't live anywhere else in Florida.

I lived in the boundaries of New York City until I was about 30 and worked in "Manhattan" for almost 50 years. I really hate Manhattan but realize tourists want to see it for some reason. It's buildings.

I used to work with a guy who said that he has seen Disney so doesn't have to go to Paris, Tokyo or Las Vegas because they have all of that in Disney.

Some people just don't get it.

I think I landed near London once on the way to someplace and it's a good thing because I wanted to see the time on that big clock you guys got there.

Of course the new generation can't tell time on it because it isn't digital.

I used to take my boat around Manhattan al the time and it seems people who never saw it got a kick out of it, especially by boat because it's an Island and you can sail all around it.

I worked on almost all of those buildings in lower Manhattan and that taller one on the left replaced the World Trade Center.

There are many bridges and tunnels going toi Manhattan and I used to SCUBA dive under some of them. But the visibility is zero.

The UK is small but bigger than most people outside think it seems. The world is bigger than many people think. You could come to the UK and spend years here and still not see all of it. You could do the same with some of your states am sure, even cities lol.
The UK like the US are countries of variables. Here from the lakes of Cumbria, mountains of Scotland, coast of Wales and Cornwall, the Yorkshire Dale's, forests and so on. We have some of the most beautiful places in the world like the USA just in smaller packages. Let's no even get started on our history that some wokes want to denigh. We both live in great countries and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Am I right my friend?

I took this photo while walking in the lakes and mountains of the English lake district in Cumbria with 2 if my best friend well 3 as Jed the dog was also a good Stevie mine RIP.

I wasn't in the UK but I did take a riverboat cruise down the Danube which was cool. And we have been to Sicily because my family came from there. :)

Here on Long Island we had a lot of "skirmishes" with you Brits so we have quite a bit of British names for towns and streets. The rest of the names here are Indian or Native American names so we have a combination of a few nationalities.

I grew up in a town in Queens NY called Flushing. We got that from the Dutch who also tried to settle this place. I think everybody who had a boat tried to settle here so everyone has ancestors from elsewhere, mostly Europe.

We have Manasquan, Wyandanch, Montauk, Cutchogue and Setauket which are all Native American names and we have "New England", New London, Queens, Hampton, Queens, Hempstead and many others. :p

I am looking for an "American" all electric SUV. I would like a Jeep but they are not yet sold in the US.

I like these two vehicles but they are not quite out yet either but I don't need one for about 2 years.

This Tesla is cool and goes 500 miles on a charge. It is made in America and the skin is stainless steel so no paint. The only problem is I really don't need a pick up truck and wanted something smaller like the size of my Jeep Renegade.

This cool looking thing will be made in Oklahoma, but I think it is a Korean Company which may not let me buy it. I have to see how American it is. It is also a little bigger than I was looking for because I have another Jeep that is bigger for long trips.

Thats not bad. Also a little larger than I am looking for. My wife has a Jeep Compass which is for longer distances because our Daughter has one house in Vermont about 300+ miles away one way so we would use her car for that.

The Jeep Renegade that I will have to replace in 2 years is much smaller and we use that around town so it should be much smaller.

I can't believe that is built in the US. Kind of cool :)

I will be replacing this one but not yet as I love the thing

No, it's not to small. It just doesn't look "SUV" enough. Looks more like a small car and doesn't look like you can take it on the beach like I do all the time with my Jeep. So I guess I am saying, I need a Jeep.

Something higher than a regular car.

They used to make a Rav 4 but that was not American. Perfect size and shape though. Not the new one, the older ones when they first came out. But they are Japanese so I can't buy it.

I think they are also going to make these all electric which may be perfect. With a hard top. They are not out yet in all electric and I need 4 seats. (Grand Kids)

I have already had 3 Jeeps like this, but they were of course gas.

My shoulder is healing so well I can't believe it. I don't mind surgeries at all because it is the best sleep you will ever get. I remember when I was a kid, they didn't have the anesthesia they have now so the anesthesiologist would strangle you until you passed out, then they would play Rap music to keep you under.

Now of course they use Ozone and Hydrogen peroxide.
If you ever had any major surgery you know they first make you wear this paper gown with the opening at the back. I will explain why they do that in a minute.

After you are out they put you on this cold stainless steel table. The reason for stainless steel is not that it is easy to clean and sterilize. Thats what the doctors will tell you, but the real reason is because it is slippery.

Then the youngest assistant takes out some bright color lipstick and puts 7 dots in the center of your lower back. (They keep an assortment of lipstick in the OR for this reason)

Then they turn you over on your back.

The senior doctor grabs your head and the resident takes your feet and they spin you around as many times as they can to see if they can get your head to face north. (It's called Spin the Patient)

All the medical people in there take bets to see how many spins it takes. The winner gets half of the pot and the insurance company agent (also in there) gets the other half.

Now when they turn you on to your belly and can clearly see that those lipstick dots became circles on the table. The stainless steel makes it easy to clean the lipstick off which is why it is called "Stainless".

Naturally sometime in there they operate on what you are there for. ;Happy

This was started by Hypocrites. Him and his friend surgeons were operating on one of the Roman Emperors . (I think they were replacing a heart valve with a LLama heart valve. )

Just as the game was over and they turned him over, Galileo walked in to ask for directions to the highest mountain to try out his new telescope and he noticed the red circles on the Emperor's back and said.

"OMG" those circles look like the orbits of the planets, so the Earth must be round. I can't wait to go and tell the Pope. :D

The reason we know this is because of those people who died and had an "Out of body" experience where their heart stops and they rise up over their body and can see whats going on. Thats also why they don't want to come back.

If you don't believe me, Google it.

Glad everything is healing up well and hope it continues to do so.

Needed that laugh about the lipstick, so much appreciated there.
