Hey everyone I was just curious if anyone has had experience with tanks in apartments not on ground floors. I live in a 3rd floor apartment and have been on what size tank I can get weight wise. The tank I would really like to purchase is 54 gallons.

That size should be find. Had a 42 hex in apt. before. No issues. Wood floors is what you have to worry about when you have huge aquariums. When they get too big, you have to ensure concrete floors are braced as well.

Happy Reefing.

I had a 90 gallon on a second story wood framed apartment without any issues.
