Tank lid

Can I have an opinion on lids my aqua one 90 ltr comes with a fairly tight glass lid should I keep this on or not use it

I am a fan of Kraken lids or making DIY mesh lids. Sometimes Tight glass lids can affect the amount of light your tank is getting.

If your regular about cleaning glass they can be good. They boogered up fast with evaporation and salt creep which then limits the amount of light. Like gumbie said make your own or the more expensive kraken or clearview mesh lids are better. One thing for sure is if you use no lid your fish will jump.

I like the open mesh lids over glass covers:

• More exposure to open air for gas exchange — could closing the surface under glass depress pH a bit?
• Heat dissipation
• Salt creep will need higher maintenance over mesh lids —- which still need salt creep maintenance but not as often.
