Tank needs cover ...lost another fish!

I have had my 75g DT going for about 5yrs and never had issue with jumping fish until the last few months and have now lost my third fish. My tank is flush in my living room wall with laundry room behind it where my sump is located. Concerned about heat and blocking light...any suggestions?
