Tank Readiness for Live Stock

Hey guys,
how do you (generally) tell when your tank is ready for more expensive fish breeds?
I dont want to add them if theres a risk of something going wrong.

My parameters are pretty normal, calcium is a little low and im working on that. also my pH is on the low end of acceptable but im looking at getting an auto-doser to look after that.

2x Clown Fish

What is your tank size and what filtration do you use?
As long as your ammonia doesn't read above 0, and you can keep stable nitrates/phosphates (in addition to other params), you should be good! Add 1 fish at a time if you want to be safe, and do your research for each one.

My tank is a 6'foot long 90gal. i have a 3' by 1' sump with a good sized skimmer. 45 bio balls arranged in a lattice (9x5) suspended in between the baffles of the sump. and a refugium with chaeto
