Tank stocking suggestions

I am about to finish stocking my tank and needed some suggestions. Thank you in advance!

I have 2 storm clowns currently in my IM 50 EXT and want to add the following. I want suggestions on which ones and in what order they should be added.

1 - Yasha Goby
1 - Midus Blenny or Lawnmower Blenny or Tailspot Blenny
1 - long nose Hawkfish or Flame Hawkfish
1 - Captive bred Yellow Tang or Tomini Tang (my local LFS has agreed to rehome and give me credit and wife agreed on my new 150-170 tank in 12 months if and when it outgrown tank)

I will have 6 total fish and soft (zoa and gsp) and lps coral (torch, hammer and frog).

Which 4 fish above would you select and in what order to place them in tank?

A good rule of thumb for the order of adding fish; you simply introduce the smallest/least aggressive fish first, and work your way up to fish that are more aggressive, or larger. So, I would start with the yasha goby, then the midas blenny/lawnmower blenny, then the hawkfish, and lastly your tang.

Regarding which fish to choose, although it really is up to you, I would do lawnmower blenny, longnose hawkfish, and tomini tang. But thats only because I personally really like them. I hope this helped. Good luck on the tank!

I would cross off the lawnmower Blenny as it would probably starve as you Tank has very little algae. I would do more research on the Hawkfish. Cool fish but can be aggressive. I really want one myself but am afraid it would be nasty. The Tangs would be ok but will need more space rather quickly.

Oh, and BTW, I have a Lawnmower Blenny and it will eat only film Algae and nothing else, not even Nori.

One of my reef friends has lawnmower blennies and they all eat Nori. i think it may be the type of Nori since different fish prefer certain varieties. He also told me they nip at coralline algae which was good because I get a lot of it.

Honestly you should stick for the tank you have not the one you want. It s really unfair to get tangs and rehome them in a month or two, and craming them in a too small tank just to have them. Would be best to just wait on tangs until you do that upgrade and have a proper home for them. My two cents
