I have an 25g acrylic cube that is 3/4 inch thick, it was made for cold water. I would like to plumb it in to my existing 50g and use it as a frag tank.

My issue is the stand is 2" to short and the back of the tank would hang off, which would be great for plumbing I suppose.

I am not sure if I need to brace the rest of the 2" overhang since the acrylic is so thick and the water volume so small. I could just cut a piece of something to go under the tank, but with how the tank sits on the stand you would see it, so I would have to cut trim, and i kinda hate cutting trim lol.

Place a piece off 3/4 - 1” plywood that fits the tank on top and you have a supportive platform

Probably would be fine but is it worth the worry? Above suggestion would work or ad a couple of 2 x 4's to support the part that hangs off the edge.
