Hey y’all my tank temperature ranges from 73.8-77.1. I aim to try and lower it but my Fluval heater is so sensitive. Thoughts on this range

I keep my pony tank around 70-71°

Controlled with a temp controller. Seahorses, pipefish , wrasse. All do fine - in the cooler water.

I would consider the range too high. You might need a chiller to lower the temp. It would be good to know what species of seahorse you have to determine the temp. I would aim for no higher than 72. Some horses need it lower.

77-79 has always been my range.
What is in your tanks? It will vary with sharks, sea horses, fish and other species

Anyone u recommend for me to create a colony of copepods or bbs. I want to try to colonize them in my tank because I only have 2 seahorses in the tank .

Seahorses do better in cooler water - because warmer water is more likely to breed harmful bacteria.

Since seahorses are extremely susceptible to bacterial infections, the lower temps reduces chance for things to go sideways.

I keep my seahorse tank, between 71 & 72
