Tank width?

I am looking at building a new rimless with some 1/2 inch glass I have. I only have so much to work with and would rather have it longer than wide so what is the minimum width I could make this tank while having it 6 ft long?

It's my understanding the depth of the tank is the more important structural factor on a rimless tank, but I could be wrong. Providing a bump to see if we can get you some help.

It would only be a max of 12 inches tall

If that's the case I'm not sure there is a minimum width - I would think you could go with whatever you'd like. Just keep in mind your aquascaping...could prove to be difficult if it's too narrow. If it's a frag tank, then that may not matter.
