I got the same issue trying to hit the iTech site. I do not know what is going on with them. Not sure what it is rated for. I think approximately 100 'actual' gallons? Hopefully someone else can chime in. I had a total water volume of ~70 gallons and it skimmed like a beast. They are definitely good skimmers. Like my tank, this came to me by way of Bill.

Hey Mike, The Tank is 60 Gals The I-Tech is rated for 100 gal and they IMO are under rated and could handle a 180 with medium bioload IMO. The Iwaki is a 30 RLT if i remember right and pushes a lot more water than it's rated for, I had it closed half way when i ran that pump on that tank and it had plenty more if needed.
Sorry to see your decision to get out, As it looks or are you just waiting to upgrade?
Bill

I think the tank is a little under 60 but could easily be called a 60... just wanted to focus more on the dimensions which is more accurate. I agree on the skimmer and know of a few running one on a 180 with good results. The pump is definitely a beast as well. I ran a lot off of the manifold I built for it and had power to spare.

I am getting fully out for now. Made more sense to try selling all items now rather than in a year or two when the equipment was old or no longer relevant. Hopefully my new small fresh water shrimp tank will give me a little bit of tranquility. I am fine not doing salt for a while , especially after spending all day yesterday breaking everything down and cleaning.

Forgive my ignorance to these things, but is the dual reactor one that takes care of carbon and GFO in one unit? I need to do both of these kinds of reactors to combat algae and clear my water. I just read that today. It's hard to ask the right questions when you don't know what you're doing.

No prob at all to ask questions... Yes, the dual BRS reactor has two separate chambers most commonly used to run Carbon and GFO at the same time.

How hard is it to install? I have a tank above and sump below--any idea where I'd put it? If I can make it work I want it.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
