Started dabbling with SPS and got me a green slimmer. I was told they are a food beginner sps. So with these parameters can you tell me what could be making it look like it is please.
S.G. 1.024
PH. 8.4
Am. 0
PHos. .10
Nitrates 0
Cal. 340
Alk. 286 I’m not sure on this one, it to 20 drops to turn yellow and my chart didn’t go that high

Calcium is too low, should be around 460 for SPS. Also, 286?? on Alk?? Don't think that's right. Should be around 9Dkh

Looks to me like you had a parameter swing of some sort. Could go either way if things have since stabilized.

I would superglue/epoxy over all the white part and a little bit on to the green and see how it goes.

Ca and NO3 are pretty low but don't fix that fast (plan on 2-3wks.to raise)

if your alk is at 286ppm =15.9 dkh
which is bonkers high !

esp if NO3 is at 0!

How are you testing? what/how are you dosing to keep up with mineral demand?
salt brand? w/c schedule?

First thought, alk burn

Agreed! If your Ca and Alk are correct then it’s definitely Alk burn.
