Hello, need some help here, came back from vacation and lost a few sps corals to bleaching. I then lose another the day after a water change. I haven't changed anything, so I checked my parameters
Alk 7.8 hanna (regent expires in dec so maybe that's why it's so off compared the other 2 tests)
Phosphate .03 hanna
Ph 7.8 api
Kh 13 test again 12 api
Cal 415 salifert
Nitrate 2 salifert
Mag 1200 salifert
I had 2 buddies test the water for me, one with a salifert kit and alk was over 12, mag low 1200s, calcium 400. The the other was tested with the spintouch machine.
Alk 188
Ph 7.8
Phos 0
cal 487
Mag 1390
Nitrate 5
I dose 15 ml of all for reef daily but I think its best to switch to dosing elements separately. The shop that tested with the spintouch said just alk was a little high and leave everything alone. My other buddy manually testing said raise cal/mag and reduce alk since it's really high. Since all for reef has some things high and others low, I'm thinking I'm going to dose separately but how would I go about switching without shocking my system?
