I'd like to know what testing kits you guys think are the best and how often you test for each parameters:

Salinity
Nitrate
Nitrite
Ammonia
PH
Alkalinity
Calcium
Magnesium
Phosphates
Iodide

Strontium

Tell us why you use which brand over the others.

Thank you everyone!

Salinity - refractometer. (Only check when i make a fresh batch of saltwater. Salinity in my display is very stable (using a tunze ato)

Nitrate, Nitrite, Alkalinity, magnesium and Calcium are all tested using salifert. Salifert is simple, and really accurate. Has a really good track record as a quality test kit.

Magnesium, alkalinity and nitrates are all tested everyday. I have a 10 gallon nano.

For phosphate, I use a hannah checker. Its not the cheapest option, however the Digital reading makes it a plus.

Ph, I just use Red sea. I don't test as often. If you keep your alkalinity, magnesium and calcium on check, your ph should be stable.

I test everyday, overkill? Maybe. However, its fun, and fluctuations in a 10 gallon can be pretty brutal.
