What are the most important test to run on a new tank. How often should I run them? What testers do y’all use that are accurate?

Alk / Calcium and Magnesium are the big 3 along with Phosphate and Nitrate. For me, i use Hanna for Alk and (Ultra Low ) Phosphate. Salifert for Calcium, Mag and Nitrate. Alk/Calc and Mag are key to coral health and growth. Phos and Nitrate are also important for growth and if not kept in check, can also lead to algae problems.
