The Cons of a Solid Lid, especially in a tank with a bunch of small, fast moving critters.

Fortunately there's just mollies in there and they don't seem to give any fluffs.

I would say that was a positive. I love cats. Such curious critters. ;Cat Only issue with mollies is that they eat algae. I mean all algae. I used to not check for nitrates unless I had algae growing. But with mollies it can be super high and you would never even know it. That and they multiply like crazy. I like them though.

A con to a glass top is I seem to set things on it and then forget I did. More frozen food has spoiled this way.

Part of the reason I kept them around was because they multiply. In the future I want to have a lion specific tank and breed my own food.

That, and my upcoming Kimberly Rock Monitor will also eat them. :D
