I used to have copepods blanketing my glass, too (and a carpet of ?amphipods on the rocks) - until I put a bicolor dottyback i the tank. Stripped clean in three days. Starved out my mandarin.

Yeah, my wrasses cleaned the glass in my tank in a day. Still pods in the inaccessible areas, though, like this monty leaning against the glass:

In my temperate tank, out of the blue I had some Fucus distichus macro algae growing.I was very excited about this at first. But because none of my existing CUC (snails) would want to touch it, it got out of hand. I rescued a small kelp crab that was washed up on the beach, that seemed to be having a hard time molting. Well a few days later we had success and she actually like the Fucus distichus. She has grown quite a bit since the beginning of summer. from the size of my thumb nail.
