Hi everyone

New here! Just installed my new AI Hydra 32 HD today above my 20 gallon tank, and have been playing with the light settings.

I really like to have a turquoise ocean like color, as I’m personally not a big fan of the really blue look. I noticed I can achieve this with having the royal blues considerably low.

So the question comes down to.. are the royal blues important to keep corals healthy? Don’t aim for maximum growth, just like to keep them healthy. Also, it’s probably going to be a mixed reef, but not entirely sure yet.

It is the most used spectrum by zooxanthellae in the corals we keep. How low are you thinking?

If you can, could you send a screenshot of the settings you'd like to use?

I see. It currently has these settings, although don’t know yet which total intensity I will use eventually. But it gives an idea about the ratios.

That's probably fine. A par meter would be handy but I think that the corals will be fine under that.

Just a warning, UV at 100 you will be lucky to get a year before they burn up. My 26hds burned the UV out after just over a year at 70%

You could maybe ramp the RB while you are not around the tank. That's the nice thing about these lights is the controllability
