I've been a few years out the game, but a new country (hello from down under), new city, new job, and new house has meant it's the perfect time to get back and stuck in.
This time I have gone for a 90 cm long nano, with the Aqua One Low Profile, measuring around 28 x 28 x 90cm and coming in at a whopping 59l. Still, size doesn't matter. My vision for this is to keep it clean, tidy, and low tech (the new job is good, but still, don't want to be throwing out a grand for lights). It will likely be mostly softies, but I want to build around some key fish with character. I am not doing a sump (KISS), so I will be running an external canister filter, with an inline heater, and some glass Lilly pipes on the return to keep the look sleek. I will likely consider adding a powerhead to one side of the tank, but going to see how it goes. If I can avoid any wires and equipment in the tank, that would be my dream.
Anyway, for now, I have chucked in some rocks, some aragonite sand, and now some water.
Fish wise, I am wanting to stock a Court Jester Goby, a Yellow Clown Goby, a Firefish, and likely two clowns. Coral wise, I am keen for a good zoanthid collection, alongside some leather corals and gorgonians.
Anyway, for now, some pics of the aquascape.
