Hey guys! So I picked up this 72 Gallon bow front aquarium off kijiji 2 weeks ago.

posting this in the DIY section in hopes to inspire some future reefers that want to start on a budget “with a little luck”

The aquarium, stand, sump, bio balls, sump pump, glass top, and decor all cost me $0

I added maybe a total of $40 worth of media and replacement plumbing parts as well as some good old sweat and tears.

The final product has left me super satisfied being my first large reef aquarium.

I’ll be transferring my 3 clowns, blunt head wrasse, cleaner shrimp and crew, as well as basically a **** load of Kenya tree, some Xenia and mushrooms.
I’ve got chemi pure and a smaller skimmer in my sump I’ll be upgrading in the future. Using all seachem products that again I can mention I’m super happy with.

You’ve made a fine job of that, it looks great!

Maybe start a build thread when you get chance
