This is how I mix my salt before making saltwater

I was getting low parameters when making new saltwater.

So I’ve been doing this to mix my salt first and I’ve been getting correct parameters.

I got the planting auger from Home Depot

Sounds like a great idea, the only thing that I don’t like is the steel. I wonder if you could get a plastic one for like mixing tile grout.

Ahhhh, makes perfect sense now. Generally I just roll the bucket a few times

Just roll my bucket of salt on its side a revolution or two.


clean Rubbermaid, rodi, 4/5ths of the salt, powehead come back and hour later and adjust salinity.

Powerheads love running dry in a bucket of salt. Once you take it out, dip em in some vinegar.

I said cheap. I just bang em on the floor a couple times before each batch lol.

I do the exact same thing as well, bought some random cheap WaveMaker and works great for mixing

I found that Boxes of salt are cheaper than the 5 gal buckets and make more water and come with 4 plastic bags of salt inside the box, just turn them upside down a couple times and good to go.
