Those rare fish

Not necessarily common in the aquarium world but super common in our native reefs around Pensacola! I love diving out around our jetties and piers and seeing these little guys hanging out in oyster shells!

Flagler over here. In my line of work, they love the spaces around sailboat rudders. They'll hitch a ride on you too, sometimes all the way to the truck!

I used to have one.. my LFS got a batch of about 12 in and everyone thought they were saltwater plecos [emoji23]

I guess my friends are not the only ones. It is a great dewormer though. I didnt realise it would eat all the bristle worms.. and most of the small brittle stars.. and any shrimp thats not a giant skunk cleaner..

Neither of these are rare, even in the trade but they aren't seen a lot. My Hawaii duo, Macropharyngodon geoffroyi (Potter's wrasse) and Acanthurus nigricans (Gold Rim Tang)

Oh yeah.. big predators. Mine ate a little hectors goby that I had with him in QT [emoji53]

That would be some kind of dragonet..

I have a few things you don't see every day. A cuttlefish, a unique color morph of a fuzzy dwarf lion I call yellow creamsicle with a buddy a fu manchu, a passer angel, and a goldflake angel in qt at the moment.

The Goldline blenny (I mistakenly called her gold banded) is Malacoctenus aurolineatus a species of labrisomid blenny. Very little is known about them even though they are common throughout the Caribbean. They stay small, are very active, love to perch on things (like dragonets) and eat just about anything you put in the tank (unlike dragonets). You get the look and behavior of a dragonet without the finicky eating (or bright colors).
