Thoughts on black sand

eh, i like the natural white look. Keith man, dont do it! what tank you gonna set-up?

I have the indo-pacific half black half white in my 75 and personally I like the look of it. I don't have a goby, but have a green coris wrasse and a sea cuke that do a fine job of keeping it turned over.

I would love to powder some of thats and up and send it through my x-ray diffractometer to see if it is REALLY calcite...

though it does look good

Alex, how much do you need?

Send me a PM with your address, and I will gladly dry some out and send it your way in an envelope.... :D

Geesh we are really fish geeks aren't we?

I have to say I love my black sand, even with the broken pieces of rock and shell that have been occurring over the the last 6 years. I also have a black back and between the two the corals just visually pop.
