I have mainly lps/sps in my tank. A lot of torches, hammers, frogspawn/octospawn, gonis, a couple favia, some nice but slooooow chalices (cosmic bounce, crayola meltdown, and a no namer) and then a bunch of sps frags (bit too many big colonies yet)

I was thinking about picking up a Japanese toadstool because my wife saw it at the lfs and liked it. I’ve never kept leathers, and I’m worried about it stunting the growth of my sps… and I also heard they grow very fast. My tank is pretty well stocked, I have a great place for it actually where the clowns hang out which I’m hoping they’d hang out in the toadstool too. But if it grows super quick it’ll cast a shadow on some gonis and a plate coral I have down lower. Are they easy to trim if necessary?

If this is an 80 gallon tank I would not be concerned. Run some charcoal and consider routine water changes and it's all good.
Ok perfect! Thanks!

I agree run charcoal and good flow and no need to worry.
They do grow steadily but not super fast, IME it takes about 2 years to get to about 8"-10" wide and tall
Do they like to be in higher flow or do you mean make sure the tank as a whole has good flow?
